National parks have, since the 19th century, been curated as a collection of treasured buildings and landscapes reflecting a diversity of American experiences. Then and now, the parks challenge us collectively to interpret and care for them. The digital “reflections” of US national parks in this exhibition are extracted from the work of conservation (documentation, analysis, repair, etc). They are also meant to provoke questions: What do we see in national parks? Can these point clouds make the actual places accessible in new ways? How do these reflections motivate us to care for our monumental and everyday environments?
Tell us what you see. Tell us your questions. Tell us about your national parks or your visits to ours.
